Citi has raised its 12-month price targets for Bitcoin and Ethereum as it points to stronger crypto activity and renewed ETF inflows.
Citi Raises Bitcoin Price Target to $113K as Ethereum Target Climbs to $3,028
Citigroup has significantly raised its 12-month price targets for Bitcoin and Ethereum, citing stronger cryptocurrency market activity, improving macroeconomic conditions and a return of inflows into crypto exchange-traded funds.
The bank now expects Bitcoin to reach $113,000 over the next 12 months, up from its previous target of $82,000. Citi also lifted its 12-month target for Ethereum from $2,240 to $3,028.
The latest projections represent a notable change in Citi’s outlook after the bank had previously reduced its cryptocurrency forecasts earlier in 2026. Reuters reported that the new targets were included in a Citi note dated September 30.
Citi Raises Bitcoin Forecast to $113,000
The new Citi Bitcoin price target represents a $31,000 increase from the bank’s previous forecast of $82,000.
Citi’s analysts attributed the revised outlook to several factors, including increased activity across the cryptocurrency market, more favorable macroeconomic conditions and renewed inflows into crypto ETFs.
The revision is particularly notable because Citi had taken a more cautious position earlier this year. Its latest target indicates that the bank now sees conditions improving enough to justify a substantially higher 12-month Bitcoin forecast.
However, the $113,000 figure remains a price target rather than a guaranteed future price. Bitcoin remains highly sensitive to market liquidity, investor sentiment, interest rates, ETF flows and regulatory developments.
Ethereum Target Also Moves Higher
Citi’s revised outlook is not limited to Bitcoin.
The bank increased its 12-month Ethereum target from $2,240 to $3,028, according to Reuters and CoinDesk.
That puts the bank’s latest Ethereum forecast more than 35% above its previous target.
The simultaneous increases for Bitcoin and Ethereum suggest Citi’s revised assessment is based on broader cryptocurrency-market conditions rather than a Bitcoin-specific development.
Ethereum has also seen stronger market activity in recent months. CoinMarketCap reported that ETH had gained significantly over the previous three months as ETF demand and broader crypto activity improved.Â

Ethereum has also been included in Citi’s revised 12-month cryptocurrency outlook.
