How the Signals Work
A crypto futures signal is essentially a potential trading plan.
An entry price indicates where a trader may consider opening a position. Take-profit targets provide potential levels for closing some or all of the position if the market moves favorably.
The stop-loss identifies a level where the trade may be closed if the market moves in the opposite direction.
Signals may also include leverage, which can significantly increase both potential gains and potential losses.
Example: PYTH/USDT Long Signal
One example shared by the community was a PYTH/USDT Long setup with the following parameters:
| Trade Detail | Community-Posted Level |
| Entry | 0.05110 |
| Take Profit 1 | 0.05200 |
| Take Profit 2 | 0.05300 |
| Take Profit 3 | 0.05400 |
| Take Profit 4 | 0.05600 |
| Take Profit 5 | 0.05749 |
| Stop-Loss | 0.05000 |
| Leverage | 75× |
The community subsequently posted a result showing approximately 930–939% profit.
Important: Understanding the 930–939% Result
The reported 930–939% figure was a leveraged futures-trade result displayed by the community. It was not a normal investment return on PYTH, nor does it mean that PYTH increased by 930–939%.
The trade involved 75× leverage, which can magnify the percentage result on the trader’s margin.
It is also important to understand that the displayed result is not a guarantee that members following the signal would achieve the same return. Actual results can vary because of entry timing, execution price, position size, fees, slippage and individual trade management.
Why Traders Use Futures Signals
A structured signal can save traders time by bringing several important trade parameters together in one place.
Instead of simply receiving a prediction that a cryptocurrency may rise or fall, traders can see the proposed entry, potential targets and stop-loss.
For some traders, following signals can also be a way to observe how different futures setups are structured and learn more about trade planning.
However, signals should be treated as potential trading ideas, not instructions or guaranteed opportunities.
The Risk of High Leverage
Leverage is one of the biggest risks associated with cryptocurrency futures.
While leverage can amplify profits when a trade moves in the expected direction, it can also amplify losses when the market moves against the position.
At 75× leverage, relatively small price movements can have a major effect on a trader’s margin and may result in liquidation.
For this reason, traders should understand leverage before using it and should never assume that the leverage shown in a signal is appropriate for their own account.
